On a daily basis, we do “things.” Some of these things are mistakes or bad choices. Some of these things are good choices and decisions. We interact with so many people on a daily basis, leaving powerful impressions behind on each person we speak to or even just look at!
How are we making these people feel? Are we leaving impressions of goodness or are we leaving them feeling annoyed, angry, hurt or disgusted?
And on a greater scale–when our time on this planet is done, how will you have left the people you loved behind? Will you have left them with good, positive feelings? Will you have left them remembering all the negative ways you made them feel? Will they remember you as a loving person who made them feel cared for?
I hope no matter what, that I leave people behind with a positive impression. I hope that on a daily basis, I give off good energy.
I try to smile and say hello to all who pass me. I try to be kind and empathetic to all, knowing that I can’t possibly understand everyone … but giving the benefit of the doubt to start. In fact, it was my empathetic nature that got me involved and married to the wrong person. I was too nice, too understanding and too forgiving. Not any more.
Now I’ve learned that you can be empathetic without forgetting what someone has done wrong.
Now I’ve learned that some people always give off negative energy– and you can’t change that. But you can still stay true to your good nature without allowing others’ negative natures ruin your good soul.
At the end of the day, I hope I am remembered for the love I have given others.

How we make people feel matter. How we leave others behind whether for an hour, a day, a year or for forever– it all matters. Our energies are absorbed by each other.
Make good deposits in people’s days. Reflect love and be known and remembered as a kind soul. We need more of that in the world. Give understanding, not judgment. Be someone you admire.
